I wanted to take something old and worn and make it into something elegant. I had an old road atlas which I cut up to make the layers underneath the butterflies.

1: What inspires you?
Other artists and the people around me!
2: What helps you to feel better about yourself when you feel negative about your actions, thoughts, abilities, etc?
Usually talking to friends, or lounging with my cat. I love being around people (and animals!) I love, even if they don’t fully understand me!
3: What is your favourite food that has some sort of nutritional value?
Probably pizza! I’m actually kind of amazed that I am not particularly fat…
4: If you could change one thing about/add one thing to all human beings what would it be? (By thing I mean anything- physical or mental or some sort of power or whatever)
The ability to empathise with one another. Maybe that way, humanity would overcome its massive greed complex.
5: Favourite bird?
Probably peacocks, but I’m really fond of domesticated birds, like budgies too! We went over to the local weatherman’s house and he owns a budgie. It hopped onto my arm, ran up to my shoulder, and started grooming my hair! It was the sweetest little thing, and I’d love to have one!
6: Favourite place you’ve been?
Gosh, I’ve been to a lot of marvellous places! I’ve been abroad to Paris, Stuttgart and Cologne, but I also like Eton a lot because I have family there. I think that if I could be anywhere in the world right now, it would be in Newcastle with my Homestuck friends!!
7: Favourite memory?
Probably going to Sledmere House for a wedding. It’s a grand old place, and it has a lot of family ties! I can remember me and my cousin Lizzy sitting on a sofa in the massive library looking out of the window at the fireworks outside.
8: Who/ what makes you laugh the most?
Photoshopped images of Nicolas Cage’s face on things. My friends and family can quite easily make me laugh hysterically too!
9: Do you have a creative outlet/ talent?
I occasionally indulge myself in a spot of digital art, and I do very much enjoy it. But my art blog only has twenty followers, so I can’t be all that good!
10: If you befriended a man who’s company you really enjoyed and whom you shared a great deal in common with, then he announced he put kitten food in his beard so that kittens could eat out of his beard, what do you think would be your reaction?
As long as he wasn’t hurting the kittens, and that he’d clean himself up afterwards, I suppose it’d be okay. I admit, I’d still find it a bit weird. (And, not to kinkshame or anything, but I’d hope he’s not getting sexual pleasure out of it. I mean, everyone has a preference for something, but animals aren’t able to consent and it’s taking things much too far!)
11: Do you prefer colour or pattern?
